The windows 7 taskbar will close windows if you middle click on their thumbnail as well as from a left click on the X. Display fusion is only implementing the latter behavior.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the new version; it's getting much closer to implementing all the taskbar features I use.

The middle-click thumbnail close seems to work fine for me in 3.4. Could you post a screenshot of your Taskbar settings?

It's only happening on my work system and they block easy access to photosharing sites; could I email you a copy instead?

Sure, no problem! Please send the screenshot and the text from the Troubleshooting tab to support@displayfusion.com.

Thanks!

Actually on farther inspection, the problem only exists if I middle click the frame of the thumbnail. Clicking the picture works on both taskbars but the native one also closes windows if I only mouse up a few pixels and have my cursor over the frame. DF's requires me to be far enough up that the image highlights itself.

Edit: I guess this gives new meaning to the phrase edge condition.

There appears to be a slight difference in behavior. With the Win7 taskbar, mousing out of the preview image and into the frame keeps the preview image highlighted. With DF, mousing into the frame "deactivates" the preview image.

The difference is slightly larger than that. The win7 taskbar highlights the image even if the cursor never leaves the taskbar itself. DF doesn't do the initial highlight until the first time I mouse over the thumbnail.
