It seems like for Digital Blasphemy and Wallpaper Abyss, the requested resolution of wallpaper isn't respected in settings. It's instead pulling only 16:9 aspect ratio wallpapers.

This is especially noticeable if the sizing option is set to: "Fit Best and maintain Aspect Ratio (No Clipping)".

Both the sites offer exactly 3840x1080 wallpapers.

Oddly, this works perfectly fine with WallpaperFusion though.

I can't seem to reproduce this issue here in testing. Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

As well as a backup of your settings? (Settings > Options > Export).

Thanks!

Just a quick update, this doesn't appear to be an issue on our end, so we've emailed Ryan at DB to see if anything has changed recently with the API.

Just to follow-up, it seems like something's been fixed recently and it's working properly for Digital Blasphemy now.

Still not working as expected for Wallpaper Abyss though. No settings have been changed on my end.

Ok, it looks like what you're seeing with Wallpaper Abyss is currently the expected behaviour. The resolution filter in the DF settings for Wallpaper Abyss is for a minimum resolution, not exact. I'm guessing you're looking for a filter to find only images that match the resolution exactly?

Yes, I was hoping for it to match the exact resolution or ideally, the same aspect ratio at minimum requested resolution.

So in this scenario, I would expect 3840x1080 or 32:9 aspect ratio with a minimum resolution of 3840x1080.

This is what I would have expected of a resolution option. I don't think most people would want black space for their wallpaper intentionally if it fits incorrectly.
