Hi Pete! Just to check, which version of Windows 8 are you running? We had to change the TitleBar Button alignment for Win 8 RTM because the window chrome is different than the Win 8 Release Preview, so unfortunately that makes them a bit messed up in the Win 8 Release Preview.

Just a quick update: I've re-tested Office 2010 in Win 8 RTM, and the TitleBar Buttons look good

Starting with 4.1, all changes for Windows 8 will be made with the RTM, so unfortunately some new issues might show up in the Release Preview.
