Hi,

My 2 cents about the new wallpaper window.

a) First of all: It is huge! 945x807 pixels is a lot especially if you are not able to change the size. Two ideas on how to improve it.
1) Collapse the three buttons to add or remove the source files/directories into one button. Similar to the "Download" button on this page. Additionally, you would have to decrease the size of the input box on the "Info" tab.
2) Decrease the size of the image preview.

b) The idea of putting some icons to the "Sizing" drop down is nice. Unfortunately, they are all the same, so pretty useless.

c) Also, I am not sure who I did it at least twice: I was able to open the wallpaper window twice (Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit). It seems that being impatient does the trick. Just click very often on the taskbar icon and it shows up several times (dozens of windows are no problem).

d) I thought WallpaperFusion is already available as a source, but it is not. What's the plan here?

Have fun,
Carsten

Hi Carsten, thanks for the feedback! Let me cover your points in order:

a: We made the window larger to allow for a larger preview section. We received quite a few people asking why this was so small, so now it's larger. If you're running DisplayFusion on a lower resolution monitor, this preview section should scale down and allow the window to fit on a 1024x768 monitor quite nicely. :)
1. Removing the buttons wouldn't shrink anything, the listbox would still need to be taller than 1 button height.
2. I'd rather not decrease the preview window size, making it bigger was often requested.

b: Those icons are just place-holders for now, our graphic designer is working on some spiffy new icons, don't worry. :)

c: Being able to open the wallpaper window twice is a bug, I'll fix that for Beta 2.

d: WallpaperFusion will be available soon, we're working as fast as we can to provide the best integration possible!

I hope this covers everything, I really appreciate the feedback on the re-design. Thanks!

Hey there,

I kind of like the increased size of the preview window myself! :) But you could win a little space by decreasing the vertical white space slightly.

Also, I have a minor suggestion related to the time interval. It took me a while to find it now, so I don't think it's in a very logical position... Nor really obvious as to what it does until you hover your mouse over it, so that's a point needing improvement in my opinion...
A way to improve this, would be to reduce the size of the "Monitor Settings" box slightly, and either put it above, or below this box, so that there would be space to possibly add a bit of text for it.

We will be adding more colour options to fill in that white-space on the right side, and there is no white-space on the left side when you've selected a source other than "solid colour". Don't worry, we have plans for all that new space. :)

I agree about the time interval box, it's not in an ideal space. We'll be looking at that as well.
