The "Disable Sound Effects" advanced setting seems to be working for me in 8.1 beta 2. Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info so that I can check a few things?

• Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
• Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
• Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
• Reply with the file attached

Thanks! Are they tray notifications (showing up on the lower right of the screen)?

Ok, that sound isn't controllable via DisplayFusion, as it's Windows that's playing the sound when the tray notification shows up. If you want to disable the DisplayFusion tray notifications completely, you can do this in the Settings > Advanced Settings window with the "Don't show tray icon notification balloons" option.
