my desktop has 2 monitors. I switch between sitting directly at the desktop and remoting (mstsc) into the desktop from my laptop. After remoting into the desktop from my laptop, the applications from one of the screens do not show in either taskbar. This definitely happens with Chrome and Visual Studio (probably others). I can get them back by finding the application in Task Manager, right-clicking, and choosing 'Bring to front'. But this is annoying.

This definitely happens with Taskbar Mode: All Taskbars show relevant windows

I switched Taskbar Mode to "All taskbars show all windows" to see if this behavior will change, but I haven't yet remoted back or rebooted after the changed setting. I would prefer to use "All Taskbars show relevant windows".

This is a great product! Thanks for your support.

Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
NVidia GeForce GTX 650
Driver version 331.65 (up to date)
DirectX runtime version 11.0

Setting the Taskbar mode to "All taskbars show all windows" or "Windows taskbar shows all windows" will definitely fix the issue :)

When you get a chance, could you change it back to "All taskbars show relevant" and then do the following?
  • Enable debug logging on the Troubleshooting tab (set it to Logging: All Lines) and click Apply
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue (please note the time so I'll know where to look in the log file)
  • Attach the %appdata%\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.log file to this topic (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending me the log

Thanks!
