I'm having some problems with the alt+tab handler as shown below.
I got 4 videos started but if I activate one it counts that videos playlist as a seperate window. Quite confusing.

Also if i activate the video it removes it from the taskbar until it is minimized.

And I seem to have the same problem with more programs... I assume it's not a feature ^^

Any skin that use a seperate window for playlist have this problem. Default skin have an attached one.
I use Eclipse but have a lot more.

I only get one alt+tab process if I choose default skin, which is good, but I sill don't get an icon in tasbar if I have it active(Picture nr2)

The problem is not lnked to only PotPLayer. I notice the same problem with CDisplayEX.
Same with both fullscreen and window.

But instead of showing only one window in taskbar it shows both even if they are active, as PotPlayer don't show the one's that are open.
Very strange....

So here goes,I start of with two files for testing, one video and one comic.
Below is the movie script and notes.

Open Video in PotPlayer:
When Active it show two windows for the same instance(one for playlist and one for window).
One could guess that if I disable the playlist all would be well... no. If I disable playlist I get two identical pictures in alt+tab.
If it's minimized it shows only one instance.

Open Comic in CDisplay EX:
If it's open it shows two windows and if it's minimized it shows only one.

I use PotPlayer 1.5.36205 Beta but had the same problem the last version I used as well.
I switch every time they release a Stable Beta.

By the way, when I have the windows open, the icon disappears from taskbar as well as showing two windows in Alt+Tab.
And if I minimize the window the taskbar icon reappear.

But.... When I minimize CDispayEX It disappear from Alt+Tab. PotPlayer works as it should now.

Nice, now I can see it in alt+tab.... but also every other program that is in the systembar....

Not to hijack the thread, but the above mentioned bug is still present with beta 5. At least partially. I still get alt+tab entries for Origin, System Explorer and a Windows related '100% complete', probably from a copy/paste operation.

Missing two open windows from the list

I also has Windows Live Mail and PotPlayer open when using alt+tab on the picture.
But It feels like we are getting there!

It is also inconsistent, depending on what program I have active and start alt+tab some programs disappear from the list...

It was easy to reproduce.
After switching windows with alt+tab different PotPlayer windows disappeared. First 1/3 and in the end 2/3 didn't show up.

Only 2 min log so should not be to hard to find

Also noticed that file transfer window didn't show up in alt+tab.

Sorry but still no go Looks the same as picture when I have PotPlayer active as well, it don't show up in alt+tab.
MSpaint didn't show up either.

I tried to get a good log for it but didn't managed at first, all worked well, but then I re-tried and I managed to get one really fast.
One PotPlayer is "open" and one is in taskbar.

I have noticed since quite a long ago that when I alt+tab it don't switch to the last used windows. It can go last, last another, last another, last, last, last and so one, really random. I get switched to Desktop wayyyy to often, when it's the last thing I would want to activate(i.e all program disappear). For example, I just wrote an email in webmail, switched to word, switched back and when I switch back it switch to desktop... this happens a lot as I got many programs open at the same time.

This might be even more annoying that the alt+tab problem.

Really looking forward to the progress, hope my logs and tips(complaining? ) helps in development.

Alt+tab correctly switch to the correct window so far!!! Very, very nice!
I'll get back to you regarding if programs show up correctly soon.

Updated from v5 Beta 10 to v6.
One problem came back :/ PotPlayer disappeared from taskbar again.
Don't know if it was the same in v5, Beta 9.

Awesome mate, I was looking around but couldn't find that setting.

Here are the settings for PotPlayer(same as last times though).

PotPlayer don't show up again. If you haven't fixed that in the coming release/beta that is.
Had a video playing in window mode while using alt+tab and no difference if program is active or not. Tried more times and problem persits.
Using version 6 Steam Version.

It didn't show up, restarted PC, didn't show up, restarted PotPlayer didn't show up.
Then I restarted DisplayFusion due to activating logging and it shows up all good....
Then I close PotPlayer and it don't show up again.. strange.

After I have done the log and turned it off and restarted PotPlayer again it shows up.. well...

First thing I noticed.
When PotPlayer is minimized I see only one window(as intended) but if it is active or hidden behind other window I get the attached picture. It is only one instance of PotPlayer open.

Also, Alt+Tab didn't show up when I tried to switch window. Happened three times in the first 5-10min after update.
Fixed by waiting a second, click on a window and trying again.

Update, even explorer don't show up. (MSPaint was opened after)

After a reboot it does show! (Took quite a while to being able to reboot as I use it a lot, sorry)

But not all all ok though.....
FYI, I have 4 PotPlayer running.

I updated and have done no reboot - Better, but not OK.
I'll get back to you after I've done a reboot.

I have 3 PotPlayer running in the picture.
Apparently it displays the playlist-windows instead of the video windows when the player is minimized, but I could care less as long the correct amount is displayed

This problem is f-iing STRANGE!
It comes and goes and I can't really say when and why...
This time I have the media window active and it show two again. When I minimize it it's as it should, one instance in alt+tab.

If I turn on Alt+Tab again I get REALLY strange behavior.

First off mail windows showed up fine, then when I minimized it I got the playlist window showing...?
When I maximize it still show playlist. After some minimize/maximize it show main windows and after some minimize/maximize I get both main windows and playlist.

I really can't wrap my head around this problem...

I'm back again with sad news

I think it actually happened after I updated PotPlayer to the latest stable version, 64bit v1.6.56209, but don't hold me to it to much.
Think I still have the same settings as before

And as before, I'm not one to restart, usually once a month or so(13 days atm), so reinstall older versions and restarting is not my cup of tea, but I'll try to soon

I get one for each instance of open videos, exactly as it was before it got fixed.
If the windows is minimized it only shows the main windows as it should but if it is active it shows with the player.
Same in atl+tab.

"Hopefully" it will fix similar problems with other software that you don't know off as well or I would feel bad to make you do a fix for only one software

But... an new issue appeared.
The Playlist came back in the taskbar, and on the second screen
When I minimize it get removed from the left bar(DisplayFusion) and only the playlist are shown...
VERY strange
Pic one is when open and pic two is with four windows that have been minimized.
PotPlayer are even set to left screen in Display Fusion.

Yeah, it does not recognize it as active on monitor 1.
It's strange that the main windows is not shown either when it is minimized.
