Hello.

When I am using displayfusion, I is working for a month or so, and then it just stop working.
Hotkeys dont work, scrolling on a windows that is out of focus dosent work etc.

I need to delete the app and then download it again for it to work again, very annoying. I have tested it in both Windows 8.1 and windows 10 and the same thing is always happening. I have reinstalled windows 4 times also.

I have the paid version from Steam.

Using windows 8.1 atm.

That's strange! When it stops working, a simple restart of DisplayFusion or the computer doesn't fix it?

No, that does not work. Only way as far I know is to delete the app and reinstall it.

Wallpaper still works, but nothing else.
I have tried to press the apply button on functions on settings, but that does not help either.

Ok, that's very strange indeed! Would you be able to send over a debug log?
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • The next time it stops working, note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\DisplayFusion
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks! It seems like the hook processes may be terminating for some reason. When it's not working, can you check the Windows Task Manager to see if the "DisplayFusionHookApp" processes are running?

Thanks! When those processes are confirmed running, can you open up the Settings > Troubleshooting tab, click the link that says

"File: AppHook32: DisplayFusionHookAppWIN6032.exe"

and see if it says

"Is Running: ProcessIsRunning [Instances: 1]"

in that section?

Ok, and the inactive scrolling and hotkeys aren't working, even though it says the hookapp is running in the Troubleshooting info? Or does it show as not running when everything is broken?

Everything is broken all the time, so yes. It shows that the hookey app is running when nothing works (hotkeys, scroll on unfocused window etc).

It stopped working again after a reinstall!
The log is only 20minuttes long, why does it delete some of the previous logs? The computer has been on for nearly 24 hours now and the log is only the last 20 minuttes.

I don't know if the log would help you, but here it is.

The log rolls over so that it doesn't fill up the drive :)

I don't see anything suspicious in the log, unfortunately. Could you try setting it to L2: Log Detailed, then send the new log file when it stops working? Please send the DebugInfo.html file along with it.

Thanks!
