Hi all,
I finally decided I should try to utilize multiple desktops in Win10. I've been avoiding this just telling myself I shouldn't have so many applications running. I know zVirtualDesktop exists but it is not free what whatever solution I come up with, I would be deploying across 4 different computers, so a licenses for zVirtualDesktop would get expensive. Looking to see if there are free options. I didn't see any options for desktops in DisplayFusion.
I know I can WIN+CTRL+LEFT or RIGHT to move between them, but what I am looking for is a hotkey to go to the last desktop you were on, regardless of which number it was. So if were on 1 and go to 3, the hotkey would go back to 1 and then go back to 3.
zVirtualDesktop has hotkeys to go to specific desktop numbers, but my problem with this is the potential for not knowing which desktop number you need to go to.
Lastly, is there any ability to put taskbar icons for specific desktop numbers?

Thanks for checking out DisplayFusion! There aren't currently any virtual desktop specific features at the moment. We're hoping to add some in the future but I can't offer an ETA on when that might be.

Regarding zVirtualDesktop, it looks like it is free based on their website: http://zvirtualdesktop.com/. Am I looking at the wrong one?

Once you run it, it says there is a 10 day trial and then it costs $35 per computer or something like that.

Ah, bummer! We will be sure to let you know if/when we're able to add some features for the Windows 10 virtual desktops in the future.

Thanks!

Actually, and also somewhat of a workaround for my other post about grouping windows..

If you were to add some features for multiple virtual desktops, it would be super powerful if monitor splits were able to be done per monitor and per desktop.

Peach (on microsoft store) can be used on as many machines as you're logged into your microsoft account on and supports hotkeys for switching between virtual desktops as well as returning to the previous one.
