I have a client with 2 1080p monitors side by side displaying a locally-hosted Chrome window across both screens for a kiosk exhibit. We have been getting periodic reports that a few of the exhibist will be showing the content on only one monitor with the other showing the Windows desktop. Usually a restart of the PC or re-running the batch file that loads the content and the Windows Position Profile will fix it. Is there a way to make the system self -heal?

You could maybe schedule the bat file to run on a schedule?

You may also want to consider using our other app, CloudShow for this, if the machines are internet connected. CloudShow can create a full screen web window that you can span across both monitors, and you can set the URL from the CloudShow web interface so you can manage them centrally.
