For the last few versions, when I get an auto-update notification and click to allow it to proceed, I see the download box, then once downloaded I get two UAC prompts, one of which runs the installer and one of which errors out with file in use.
Do you have any antivirus software installed? If so, which one?

McAfee Endpoint Security v10.5 with McAfee DLP Endpoint and McAfee Agent.
Ok, the auto-updater has a retry timeout in case the installer fails to launch, so if it takes too long to launch the first time (due to AV scanning taking too long or whatever), it tries again, and you could end up with 2 copies running. How long is the time between when the setup file finishes downloading until you see the first UAC prompt?

I have the same issue, just had it again when updating from 9.2b4 to 9.2final. Delay was not really noticable, it just took some seconds as far as I remember. I did not even notice it downloaded again, it was just that right after I confirmed the first UAC the second one appeared in front of the progressing installation bar popup. I waited until the background installation finished, then cancelled/answered No on the second one.

I did not have it occur on the 9.2 final update this time.
