I've set DisplayFusion to cycle wallpapers in a folder on my desktop.

I've also set DisplayFusion to manage my Windows Logon background.

However, during the lock screen, the wallpaper stops cycling.

Can this be changed?

To clarify, are you looking to have the lock screen background keep changing while the machine is locked, or you want the desktop wallpaper to keep changing while it's locked so that you have a different desktop wallpaper the next time you log in?

The first one :)

Ok, unfortunately it's not possible to do, as the logon screen background won't refresh until the computer is unlocked, and then locked again :(

Sorry!

Am I reading the above correctly?

Is it possible to cycle the lock screen background, similar to the wallpaper "Load Random Images" option by pointing the source to a folder?

I understand it won't change while actually locked, but possibly change during a lock/unlock event?

Currently you can only have it cycle with the wallpaper that's set on the primary monitor, by enabling the "Use the current Desktop Wallpaper image..." option.

However, we do have an open feature request for the ability to specify separate random image options for the Windows Logon Background. The current issue is that it throws a UAC prompt every time it changes, because the Window Logon Background settings and image are stored in protected areas of the OS. We're hoping to be able to use a service to change it in the future, so I'll be sure to post an update if/when we're able to implement that.

Thanks!

I have used another piece of software in the past that does this, without launching the UAC.

Its failrly small as well.

Maybe worth investigating?

Like to add my name into the hat for people wanting a service to enable this to happen automatically.

Would like it to either copy the desktop settings, or allow for exactly the same level of customisation for wallpaper, but separate to wallpaper.

Also... is there a way to apply logon wallpaper across multiple monitors? My primary has it, but my other two secondary monitors just go black.

OS is Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1

@AJStevens: Vote added. Unfortunately Windows disables the other monitors at the login screen, so it's not possible to show a background on the other monitors :(

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version and changing the Windows Logon Background will no longer throw a UAC prompt. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but I'd like to add my vote for that open feature request for a separate random image list for windows logon background. Where can I upvote this or is there no such thing?

No worries! We keep the feature request list internal, but rest assured, I've added your vote to it :)

Thanks!
