I have split my monitor in 6 slices and would prefer any new desktop icons to be in the upper-left slice. But when windows adds an icon to the desktop, it will ignore the slices and keep adding them to the bottom of the left-most column and so those new icons will be in the lower-left slice. Is there a way to detect that there are icons in certain slices and then move only those to another slice?
Since I'm referring to new icons, saving and restoring the position of existing icons will not help with this situation.
