Hello, I've been using Display Fusion pro for a few years now and haven't had any problems. Both of my monitors had tasks bars on them, and suddenly today the one for my second monitor stopped appearing. I've rummaged through the settings to try and fix this but I cannot find a solution.
Could anyone help?

Attached are my taskbar settings. I'm on version 9.2, Windows 10

update: The issue seemed to fix itself this morning. Restarting my computer was not fixing the issue yesterday, but when I woke up and turned on my computer this morning My second taskbar appeared (though all my pinned programs where gone and I had to re-pin). I'm not sure it was fixed but it is.

Same here... Version 9.2 on Windows 10 version 1803 OS Build 17134.48.
Now the only time I can see the 2nd taskbar is when i go into Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and enable Multiple Displays at the bottom of the screen. Somewhere my personal 2nd taskbar went *poof*.... not nice Microsoft :(

For those still running into this issue, could you attach a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Here is my debug information with the taskbar issue. Also, it appears that DisplayFusion isn't seeing all the monitors attached. Windows 10 shows 3, but display fusion only shows 2 so not sure if that is related too.

I have a laptop running 4 monitors including its own screen. I run with the laptop screen off and the three others running

Not sure if this is the same issue??

1 of the laptop HDMI port
x2 others from Plugable USB 3 to HDMI adapters

This worked up until two upgrades. now I only see the laptops HDMI out and x1 USB 3 to HDMI showing @unknown as the name for the usb adapter name. As I say it worked fine until now

attached logs

I am having the same issue. I have 3 monitors that have been having the taskbar on all three. I updated to Windows 10 April 2018 release (version 1803) and now I have a taskbar on only one monitor. Also, function buttons missing.

If you look in Monitor Config does it show three or four monitors on the Windows configuration 4 monitors are shown on mine and the laptop screen is disabled as it should be. If I look at the Monitor Config on DF then it only shows 2 monitors sometimes 3 if I mess with the drivers. and then all it is is the disabled laptop screen

Guys any ideas?

My windows 10 display settings show 3 monitors, but my DisplayFusion monitor configuration only shows 2. This has only started happening since the Win 10 1803 and DF 9.2 update.

Functionality just came back. I shut down windows about 3 times and restarted. Now taskbars are back with functions but now I have some external hard drives not showing up (Grrrr). I think this is a windows problem not Display Fusion.

We have a good idea on why this is happening and we're working on a fix as we speak. I will post a test build to try out as soon as it's available.

Thanks!

I came home to the same problem - installed 9.2.1, 2nd monitor task bar went away, while 9.2 works fine at work. I updated the nVidia video driver (also released today), and the task bar came back temporarily then went away again.

Unfortunately 9.2.2 did not resolve the issue. Three monitors (one of different size/resolution centered above the other two) and still no taskbars unless I turn on the Windows 10 multi monitor task bar. Fresh Log Attached.

@Thildemar and Al: I think this may be a separate issue from the monitor detection problem we ran into, as the troubleshooting info shows all of your monitors correctly. It may be an issue with the code we updated for detecting the computer being locked and hiding the taskbar when it's locked (because for some weird reason, Windows 10 will allow the DisplayFusion taskbar and other topmost apps to sit on top of the lock screen) :(

If you lock the desktop (Win + L) then unlock it, do the taskbars come back after a minute?

Seem the same case for me. Taskbar on the 2nd monitor is not showing after upgrading to anything 9.2 and above version.

One thing to note though. On the latest version 9.2.2, I found out that I can restore the taskbar on the 2nd screen if I just go to lock screen (win + L) and then return to desktop.
But every single cold/warm boot would always result in the taskbar not showing on the 2nd screen.

At this point it's just annoying additional step to the startup procedure.

Attached is the troubleshooting file generated from the settings menu, hope it would help you solve this problem.

Ok, thanks all. I have an idea on what the issue is but will need to discuss with the devs. In the meantime, if you need to roll back to 9.1, here is the download link: http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-9.1.exe

Just weighing in. I discovered this issue today after rebooting my machine. I'm already on 9.2.2. Enabled/disabled/reset taskbars. They won't come back. Tried enabling Windows multi-monitor taskbars, we'll see if DF will ask if I want to disable them. Until then, I await a fix. Stupid Windows updates. :-D

Hope you start doing betas for a bit until you get more of these bugs worked out instead of pushing a new version to all, over and over again, for a single bug fix. Gets annoying having to update constantly. With beta's there op-in.

Ok, we should hopefully have this fixed in this DisplayFusion 9.2.3 build: http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-9.2.3.exe. Could you give it a try and let me know how it works out? Please make sure to test with a full reboot after installing it if possible.

Thanks!

We've just posted 9.2.4 Beta 1 a few minutes ago, which is 9.2.3 with a couple of other bug fixes as well. It should come through the updater if you enable beta update checks.
