Hi! I noticed a bug whenever I open a new window (using Ctrl + N) in Google Chrome, close it, and then use alt+tab, an 'empty' selection appears in the alt+tab menu. When I go to select this 'empty' selection, nothing happens. This is a minor bug, but an annoying one. Thought I'd report it so you guys could take care of it whenever you get around to it.
Thanks!

Did it twice, in case I messed something up.
In case THAT didn't work, either, I used the Ctrl + N shortcut on Chrome, and then alt-tabbed. I'm using the beta/unstable version of DisplayFusion Pro (Steam; 7.2; Beta 5). It might just be a beta bug, dunno.
Hope that helped!

Used key shortcuts (Ctrl + N, Ctrl + W, ect)
I had a bit of trouble recreating it on the first go, but never again. Strange..

Ahhh ok. I can reproduce this here now. Application windows aren't fully closed as soon as they disappear, and DisplayFusion has to wait for it to be fully destroyed before it can remove it from Alt+Tab, so this can happen if you use Alt+Tab within 1 second after closing a window. The next Alt+Tab shouldn't have it though. Is it causing an issue for you?

Nope, it's a purely aesthetic bug as far as I can tell. Just thought I should bring it to your attention, is all.

Speaking of alt+tab selector bugs, uh you guys kinda broke it in the 7.2 beta 6 update. Now it switches from the DisplayFusion alt+tab selector to the default operating system one. Seems to happen on the first attempt to move the selector around using tab, but not the arrow keys.
Just thought I'd re-use an old thread instead of making a new one. Thanks!

@dime, I'm having exactly the same problem. I've had this problem with Windows 8.1 and previous versions of DisplayFusion particularly when Internet Explorer was using a lot of system resources.
As of DF 7.2beta6 it happens all the time on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.

I'm just going to chime in and say me too to the alt tab issues. It also doesn't want to respect the setting of disabled for the alt tab handler or the current monitor setting. I have not yet rebooted but will give that a try later.

Looks like it's fixed in the newest beta.

Can confirm fixed as well.
Thanks for the quick fix guys.
edit:
However, I'm seeing some odd behavior when I disable the alt+tab handler. I don't think this is a windows issue but maybe it is.
If it is set to disabled, I do not see all of my windows, just those on the primary monitor. If I try the other settings, things seem to work properly. If I exit displayfusion and try alt tabbing, I get all of the windows available no matter which monitor they're on.

Thanks for confirming the fix, sorry it took so long to get it resolved.
@Richard: The issue you're seeing is one of the main reasons DisplayFusion has an Alt+Tab handler of its own. The Windows alt+tab handler will only ever show applications that are on it's taskbar, while the DisplayFusion Alt+Tab handler will show everything as needed.

Jon,
I can confirm beta 7 appears to fix my issues on Windows 7. However, Windows 8.1 appears to still have issues. Do I need to reboot for some reason?
@GregWojan: I've just returned from vacation, so I'm jumping into this thread, but there are a bunch of issues mentioned here. Which one is still broken for you?

Hi Keith,
On my Windows 8.1 laptop <Alt+Tab> only allows me to switch to the previous window. Multiple <Alt+Tab>s do nothing. All I see is the Windows <Alt+Tab> handler trying to draw then DisplayFusion draws it's preview window on each keypress. If I use the arrow keys once DF is in control everything is good.
Does that make any sense?

Ok, strange! It seems to be working fine for me in Windows 8.1 here. Just to check, did you end up trying a reboot? Just wondering if the hooks didn't reload properly after updating to 7.2 Beta 7.

Ugh! It's something to do with Internet Explorer 11... I closed IE and now everything appears to be working correctly.
With that said, using DisplayFusion to <Alt+Tab> seems to be delayed when some applications are in the foreground -- most notably IE11. On Windows 7 if IE11 is in the active window trying to <Alt+Tab> to another application there will be a delay before the next application is brought to the foreground. It's actually annoying enought that I've quit using IE. Any ideas?
