In short, when I try to use monitor profiles or change any resolution settings, my television sets the resolution to 4k despite my resolution being set to 1080p in windows. This leads to the screen looking blurry until I go into NVIDIAs settings and reset my 1080p resolution. My television is a Sharp ROKU TV with 4k support. To my knowledge there is no way to limit the max resolution of my television.

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info when the resolution is set incorrectly? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Looking through the debug.html I am wondering if the culprit is the target scailing.

In the debug file it reads at: DisplayConfigScaling: DISPLAYCONFIG_SCALING_IDENTITY

Which sounds like a variable name rather then an actual setting.

In my monitor config whenever I set the monitor scailing to anything else it just kinda gets set back to the no scaling option in terms of the actual dropdown. Though I do believe it applies some level as scailing as selected unscaled and centered makes the screen small on my television. Albiet with the drop down just displaying "No Target Scaling" during which point I need to switch it to something that isn't "No Target Scaling" in order to get it to fill the whole screen again. Given the top option didn't work to remove the unscaled center effect that seems like a bug to me.

Interesting, I think you're right about the scaling. We're going to add a "No Change" option to the scaling settings in our next beta so DisplayFusion won't touch it. We'll let you know once it's released to test out.

Thanks!

We've released a new beta with that added scaling mode, can you try it out and see if the issue persists? Here's the link: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/
