I've got a 34'' wide screen monitor, split in 2 areas.
"Primary" right, secondary left.

The start button is on the left side or the primary area - so basically at the middle of the screen.
Since version 9.2 the start menu always appears at the very left position on the screen.

When start typing with open start menu the search results shown at the right position.

With version 9.1 everything was working fine, with all released 9.2 version this bug appears.
After first 9.2 update I downgraded to 9.1.

Now after installing the new 9.2.4 the bug still appears and I can't find the download for version 9.1 anymore :'(

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Here's a link to 9.1 so you can roll back for now as well: http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-9.1.exe

Thanks!

No worries, thanks for sending the info in! I've tested with your monitor and split settings, on a German Windows 10 machine, and everything is working correctly for me :(

Could you send over a full debug log?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Requested debug info attached.

The first times I always used the builtin "check for updates" function.
This time - upgrading from 9.1 to 9.3 - I found out another thing.
I downloaded 9.3 (DisplayFusionSetup-9.3c.exe) directly and started the setup manually while DisplayFusion was running in background.

After the upgrade start menu appeared at the correct position.
Only after logging out and in the position is wrong again.

It's only 1 minute of log, so I reproduced the bug serveral times at 9:55
Close to 9:56 I did a search (start typing) while start menu was open.

Thanks! There's nothing suspicious in the debug log, unfortunately :(

The only other difference I can see between my test setup and your machine is that I'm on a newer version of Windows 10 (1803 build 17134) whereas yours is on build 15063. Is there any chance you can install the latest Windows 10 version?

Wasn't possible earlier... did a fresh install of latest Windows 10 version (1803 / 17134.286) on my new PC.

Bug is gone with DisplayFusion 9.4 (Beta 3), thank you!
