I have a three monitor setup at work. I use the default Windows taskbar on the first primary monitor, and because of how work constricts my computer, I cannot get my taskbar set to icons only. This is fine. I use the displayfusion taskbars on my second and third monitors. Both have the Button Style set to "Icons Only", but this only actually works on my second monitor which is very annoying. I have restarted Display Fusion in the hopes that it might need to refresh or something, but no help, I still see the text next to the icon which I hate. I tried searching around and found nothing on this, but sorry if this is a re-post. Can someone give me some troubleshooting ideas, or let me know if I simply have something setup incorrectly.

Could you backup your settings (Settings > Options > Export) and attach them? I'll have a quick look :)

Thanks! When I restored your settings here, both of the DisplayFusion taskbars used Icons Only, and it looks like they're both set that way in your settings backup correctly, so I'm a bit stumped on this one. Is it the taskbar on monitor 2 or 3 that is showing the text for the buttons?

Hi Keith,

The issue occurs on Monitor 3. I am attaching a screenshot showing this behavior I'm talking about. As you can see, Monitor 2 just shows the icon for chrome which I'm liking, and on Monitor 3, we can see both icons and text. Please let me know what else I can gather for you on this.

Thanks,
Drew

Ok, strange! Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks! On monitor 3, can you try this?
  • Right-click the taskbar, and choose Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Group Buttons > Enabled.
  • Right-click the taskbar, and choose Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Button Style > Icons Only.
  • Restart DisplayFusion.

Hi Keith,

Damnit, that was exactly what I have been missing. As soon as I turned grouping to Enabled, it snapped to only be icons. Sorry about all that and thanks for all of your help on this.

Thanks,
Drew

No worries at all! If you disable the grouping again, does it go back to showing the text? It should be possible to have grouping disabled but still have Icons Only enabled.

Strange, they do not go back to showing the text as well. Still showing up with just the Icons

Ok, weird! It's almost like the Icons Only option was showing as set, but wasn't actually set. Glad to hear it's all good now anyways. Just let us know if you run into any more trouble :)

Thanks!
