I am trying to switch between 3 monitor profiles that I use reguarly. Like others on this site I had no issues with this with version 9.6 but since 9.7 and the Betas I keep getting the following error:

DisplayFusion 9.6.1 Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 31] [System.Exception]

Is there a fix for this. I have just updated to Beta 4 but am getting the same issues, given that the only reason I use DisplayFusion is to be able to switch between monitor profiles this is a bit frustrating.

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Having the same issue, any attempt to change profiles fails with an exception unless I remake them after startup and don't hibernate or shut down the computer. Unplugging any external display also breaks the functionality.

Example exception:

An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.
Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 87]
[System.Exception]

I attached the troubleshooting info you asked for.

Hey Tom,

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. You make need to delete and recreate your monitor profiles after updating. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
