Windows 7 Home 64bit

I tried Desktop Fusion and decided I didn’t really need it.
I uninstalled it and the Desktop Background menu in Preferences will not come up when I try to change the wallpaper.

I have tried every fix on the internet including renaming the jpg file to “old” along with every registry fix I can find and nothing works.

I still can’t get Windows to act like it did before I installed this program. All I want is to be able to change Wallpapers through the Preferences area like I could before I tried Displayfusion.

Strangely, if I hit the Desktop Background option it shows in the taskbar like it is running but it won’t show up on my screen. There is only one monitor attached so it can’t be coming up on another monitor since I only have one now.

I have tried every thing I can think of and nothing works.
Can anyone please help me with this?
I have spent the better part of the afternoon trying to fix it.

Simply- Display fusion has been completely uninstalled but the Desktop Background menu won’t show up on the screen. It appears to be running in the taskbar but I can’t bring it up so I can change it.

Thanks

That's strange! It does kind of sound like it's "off" the screen. Can you try the following?
  • Hover over its taskbar button, and right-click on the window preview that pops up
  • Choose "Move" from the menu
  • Press one of the arrow keys to start the move, then move your mouse around to see if the window comes into view
  • Alternatively, you could try pressing Alt+Tab to switch to that window, then using Win + Left/Right or Win + Shift + Left/Right to try and get it to move to your monitor

Hope that helps!
