Hi. I have a laptop with 1080p resolution and recently I have purchased Samsung U28E590D with 4k resolution. This monitor connected with HDMI cable, which limits its usage to 4k at 30hz max, but with 1080p resolution it should work with 60hz without any problems.
However, when i try to set 1080p@60hz on this display via DisplayFusion Monitor configuration, after I press Apply button it restes refresh rate back to 30hz.
I can change the refresh rate to normal 60hz with standard intel utility or using Windows advanced display settings, but when I change my monitor profile in DisplayFusion or after reboot my refresh rate goes back to 30hz.
Could you please check this issue? It's verry annoing that I have to use windows' advanced display settings menu to restore my refresh rate back to normal every time I change my working profile.
So according to what I see now, DisplayFusion is the only program that having issues with setting 1080p@60hz via hdmi on 4k display, while standard utilities doing that without any problems.
I'm having Xiaomi air 13.3" with intel UHD graphics 620.

Is there a 59 Hz option for your monitor? If so, could you try setting that and let me know if it fails as well?

Hi, Keith. Yes, there is 59hz option, and DisplayFusion fails to set it as well. I can choose this option in refresh rate options, but when I click apply slider goes back to 30hz option.
But it can be set using standard windows tool. And after it changed via that tool, in DisplayFusion that scale is also shows value that was set using Windows tool.

I have tryed this build, but still with no luck( DisplayFusion is still drops down refresh rate back to 30hz. Also i have tried this time setting refresh rate lower than 30hz and it was also droped back to 30hz after I pressed apply button

Also, when I have set my refresh rate to 60hz in windows tools and after that changed them in displayfusion to any other value, it goes to 30hz after apply button is pressed.

Ok, I have gathered the information with the tool you have provided, but added some additonal steps, just in case..
Here is the steps description:
0. test on my current settings (1080p@60hz) before DisplayFusion started
1. test when DisplayFusion started but without any changes
2. test when I have loaded my 4k profile (4k@30hz) with DisplayFusion
3. test when I have loaded back to my 1080p profile (1080p60hz) with DisplayFusion, but 4k monitor is working only on 30hz
4. test when I have tried to change refresh rate with DisplayFusion to 60hz on my current profile (1080p60hz), but after "apply" pressed setting returned to 30hz value and 4k monitor is working only on 30hz.
5. test when I have set refresh rate back with standad windows tool

Ah, sorry to make you do this, but I need the text output from the tool as well. If you can just grab it for scenario 1 and 3, that would be great.
Thanks!

Thanks! I'll pass this over to our devs for review.
Ok, and that was after resaving the profile with 9.6 Beta 1 when it was set to 60 Hz using the Windows settings?

Find some additional info that probably could help.
On the screenshots I have attached you can see that when I'm setting refresh rate 60hz with windows tools - active resolution for my 4k display is set to 1920x1080.
But when I change the refresh rate in DF to any other value (even lower than 30hz) it goes to 30hz, and when you check the resoution value using RMB on desktop->display settings the value is 1920x1080, but if there we will go to the advanced display settings we can see that active resolution is 3840x2160, however in DF and main display settings it shown as 1080p, and it looks like screen is really working in 1080p mode, just with 30hz refresh rate.

Yeah, that's definitely the issue there. We're currently working on figuring out how to fix that Active Signal Resolution issue. I believe when we get that sorted out, it will fix the refresh rate issue as well.
We'll let you know when we have another new build to try.
Thanks!

Hi! Thanks, this new version have solved issues with profile switching. But could you turn off notification with countdown to go back to previous settings, after profile change with hotkeys, because it's annoying and takes extra click while switching between profiles.
You can do this, yep! In the DisplayFusion Settings, click Advanced Settings, then enable the "Monitor Configuration: Don't Show Confirmation Prompt" option.
Hope that helps!
