Greetings!
I've pinned programs to the DF taskbar. If I try to slide one of the icons left or right, it turns into a double arrow but does not slide. After that, the DF taskbar will not respond (can't launch programs that are pinned there, or pin any more programs to it). Attached is JPG of the double arrow icon. After I let go of the icon with mouse, it reverts to program icon.
Regards, Chris

Strange! This might be similar to another issue that was reported to us via email. After doing this, if you move a program to the second monitor, does it's button still show up correctly on the DisplayFusion taskbar? Just wondering if the whole taskbar is hanging, or if it's just not responding to mouse clicks.

Thanks!

Hi Keith,

If I try to slide an icon that is pinned to the DF taskbar (on monitor 2) I'll get the <-> arrow for a bit on that icon. As you suggested, next I started a program on monitor 1 (that was not pinned to Windows 7 or DF taskbar). I moved it's window to monitor 2 (saw the icon appear on the DF taskbar).

If I try to right click that icon on the DF taskbar, I don't get any pop-up menu. Also if I click any pinned icons on the DF taskbar, the program doesn't start. I bring up the Windows Task Manager and "end" both of the Display Fusion processes (DF taskbar goes away)... then start Display Fusion again, DF taskbar appears.

PS - this is on Windows 7 64 bit.

Regards,
Chris

Ok, interesting! Would you be able to attach a copy of the info from the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab?

Thanks!

This works for now... right click on the icon that is pinned to the DF taskbar, then "edit the pinned item". Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change sequence of icons on the DF taskbar.

Ok, interesting! I can't reproduce it here, but I'm waiting for the Troubleshooting Info from the other customer so that I can compare them and hopefully find a common link that might point me in the right direction.

I'll post another update as soon as I have more news.

Thanks!

Quick update, we're still working on this issue, but we had another few questions for you.
  • After the taskbar stops responding to clicks, when you move the mouse over the taskbar buttons or the Start button, do they still show the hover effect? (bit of highlighting that follows the mouse)
  • Is it all taskbar controls (Start button, system tray, show desktop button, etc) or just the program buttons themselves that stop responding to clicks?
  • Do right-clicks on the taskbar or taskbar buttons still work when left clicks stop working?
  • Do you happen to have a Wacom tablet connected to your computer?

Thanks!

After trying to drag an icon on the DF taskbar (and getting the brief double arrow)... the DF taskbar stops responding to clicks, I no longer get any hover affect on the DF taskbar (still get it on the Windows taskbar, which is on my primary display).

None of the controls on DF taskbar work after that (Start button, system tray, show desktop button, etc). Right clicks don't work either.

No I don't have any Wacom table... only input devices are logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.

We've just released DisplayFusion 5.1 Beta 7 (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/), could you give it a try and let me know if you still run into issues when trying to re-arrange the taskbar buttons?

Thanks!

No change that I noticed... still locks up when I try to drag a shortcut to the left or right on the DF taskbar.
