I have a monitor and a TV connected to my computer. When I turn on my TV, I want the playback device to switch to my TV's speakers. When I turn off my TV, I want the device to switch to my monitor's speakers.

Can I do this with Displayfusion?

You sure can! If you save Monitor Profiles for both the TV off and TV on, you can then assign Audio Devices to each Monitor Profile in the "Manage Monitor Profiles" window.

Hope that helps!

It's good to know that I can do this. Unfortunately, I just realized that even when my TV is off, Windows and DisplayFusion detects the TV and is outputing a signal to it.

Does this mean I won't be able to change the audio device automatically because it can't detect when the TV is on/off?

Yeah, that's correct. If the TV isn't reporting to Windows that it's off, Windows and DF have no way to know that it's been switched off.

You could manually disable it and then save the Monitor Profile. You'd then just have to manually load the appropriate Monitor Profile when you power the TV off/on.
