Hi!
Let me start by explaining my usecase, I use the "Move newly opened application windows to the current monitor" setting and love it as it helps me greatly when using my computer for general Desktop use.
However, I also use my PC as HTPC (have a couple of scripts and DF triggers that handle the change seamlessly) My only problem is that the "Move newly opened application windows to the current monitor" setting really does not play well with my "HTPC setup" but I also don't want to disable it as it's great for my "Desktop Setup".
So what I was looking for is a way to disable this setting either by a DF trigger or external script when doing the whole HTPC setup profile change etc, then re-enable it when moving back to desktop use.
I also thought about exporting the associated registry key for this setting (for both states) and loading it for the respective profile change (ie. htpc profile would load the reg file where the "Move newly opened application windows to the current monitor" is disabled etc) but that's a bit of a dirty way to go about it I think
I know this is probably a very niche usecase but I still would like to see if this is somehow possible. Thanks for your help!
