When I have Chrome open, even on a secondary monitor, there is always a line under the Chrome icon on the main windows taskbar, showing it is open - even when it is not open on the main monitor. Edge does not have this behavior. I have the DF taskbar set to "all taskbars show relevant windows". I have a triple monitor set up - windows taskbar in middle with DF task bars on both sides. I have both Chrome and Edge pinned to the main taskbar, along with shortcuts for them on my two DF taskbars. Any ideas?

I can't seem to reproduce that here. Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Owen, consider this 'cry for help' solved. :)
You got me thinking as to what you be looking for in the config. Then it occurred to me to look at the compatibility list, where lo and behold, there was an active entry for Chrome in there specifically disabling "removing from Windows Taskbar". D'uh. At some point in my past, I must have been trying to correct some quirky behavior and left it enabled. Well, unchecking that option solved the problem. Thank you for steering me in the 'correct' direction. :)

(Originally, I had typed it as "Thank you for steering me in the 'right' direction", but that seemed too much like an actual direction in which I had traveled.)
