hi ... i'm on WIndows 10 and Previewing DisplayFusion ... and so far it is fantastic ... I want to add a SCHEDULED TIME for my DF Screen Saver to start ... I have added this line + the argument ... however ... it is NOT WORKING ...
C:\ProgramFiles\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusionCommand.exe-functionrun "Start Screen Saver" ...
I am only getting a windows pop-up prompting ...
"What Application would you like to start this command line with"
I chose "Display Fusion" ... nothing happens ...
and certainly the idea is for it to run without having to repond "what application to use" ...
❗ any help, guidance, suggestions ARE welcome ❗
🙏 Thank You 🙏

Hi Owen ... really appreciate the prompt reply
... i did try it just now following your suggestion and replaced my line with yours ...
Files\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.exe -functionrun "Start Screen Saver"
... NO CHANGE ... only thing i see in TASK SCHEDULER is that status reads "Running" ... however it is not running ... hmmm ?
If you have other ideas ... when you have some free time, kindly let me know ...
Thank You !!!
If you run it directly through a command prompt, rather than task scheduler, does it work?

Hi Owen, here are my settings ...
attached (2 pngs) ...
thank you for taking a look at this challenge !
• Attachment [protected]: 1-DisplayFusion-TaskScheduler Settings.PNG [15,255 bytes]
• Attachment [protected]: 2-DisplayFusion-TaskScheduler Settings.PNG [28,174 bytes]
Thanks for sending that over, I tested with those setting on my end and it seemed to work fine. Can you try clearing the "Start in" box and see if that makes any difference?

... i did try that suggestion AND STILL will not work ... I've been looking more into the user permissions etc ... HAVE NOT found a working solution to get the task to run ...
P.S. ... after lengthy search ... this is what i found that MIGHT be the challenge ...
TASK SCHEDULER WILL NOT WORK IF ... there user(s) creating the "new-task" do not have a profile PassWord ...
... and so ...
because i am the ONLY person that uses my station and personal laptop ... i purposely did not want to add a "cumbersone" additional step to require me to put in my password anytime that i log-in after a screen timeout ...
🙏 THANK YOU !!! 🙏 for your time looking into this ...
P.S. (2) would DisplayFusion consider adding into the "next features" a "time-scheduler" ... not a timer ... but actually a scheduler to allow the user to send the screen to "Power-Off" and "Power-On" at a specific day/time ❓
... for example ...
Mon - Wed - Fri ... at 12:00 am SCREEN TURN OFF ... at 6:00 am SCREEN TURN ON
Tew - Thu - Sat - Sun ... at 9:00 pm SCREEN TURN OFF ... at 7: am SCREEN TURN ON ...
it's a pretty useful feature for those who keep the Screen Saver On during idle times ...
Thanks Again ❗
