Hi,

I'm a big fan of Display Fusion and how much it can do.

But..... recently having moved over to Windows 10 (which I also love), I find the Titlebar Buttons I create can sometimes be visible and sometimes completely invisible.

So I thought it'd be perfect if we had the ability to colour the backgrounds of our Custom Titlebar Buttons so that we could see them better.

I've mocked something up to show you what I mean (excuse the garish colours but it's to make the point).

For me, this would be perfect - as then irrespective of whether the Window's titlebar is dark or pure white, I'd still be able to see my buttons.

Please could you advise ?

Many thanks.

Kindest regards,

Jez

I can certainly put that on our feature request list. In the meantime, if you change the TitleBar Button theme to Windows Aero, they should work great on any coloured titlebar. To do this:

  • On the Settings > Functions tab, click the TitleBar Button in the preview window at the bottom of the Functions tab
  • Click the Edit icon (looks like a pencil)
  • Choose "Windows Aero" in the "TitleBar Button Image Set" drop-down
  • Choose an icon in the "TitleBar Button Image" drop-down
  • Repeat steps 1-4 for the other TitleBar Buttons
  • Click OK

Hope that helps!

Hi Keith

Please :)

I'll go and try your suggestion but I would still like the colouring ability because as you can see in my example, I've broken my buttons down to 1 colour (cyan) for the left monitor, a set of colour for my middle monitor, and the purple buttons for my rightmost monitor.

I have so many buttons that I have to think before I press to be sure it'll go where I want it to go !

The colours would help eliminate that :)

Many thanks.

Excellent, glad to hear it! If we're able to add the ability to colour the button backgrounds in the future, we'll definitely let you know.

I know this post date a bit but I second the original request because some of my title bar window are white and other are black so buttons are only visible in one of them.

@Tomate: If you change the theme for each button on the Settings > Functions tab to Windows Aero, you'll be able to see them on all titlebar colours:

  • On the Settings > Functions tab, click the TitleBar Button in the preview window at the bottom of the Functions tab
  • Click the Edit icon (looks like a pencil)
  • Choose "Windows Aero" in the "TitleBar Button Image Set" drop-down
  • Choose an icon in the "TitleBar Button Image" drop-down
  • Repeat steps 1-4 for the other TitleBar Buttons
  • Click OK

Thanks!
