Hi,

My issue seems to be a recurrent problem. I've already set the DF Compatibility Settings for explorer.exe to disable application hooks. It seems that the titlebar buttons are killing things, and I *USE* the titlebar buttons all the time. With them active, Windows File Explorer crawls.

Has there been any progress for this issue?

Despite my occasional complaints, I truly love the product and appreciate all who work on DisplayFusion!

Thanks for the kind words, that's great to hear!

Does this issue happen immediately after launching DisplayFusion, or only after it's been running for a while? If it does happen immediately, does it also happen immediately after a fresh reboot of the machine?

The issue seems to happen immediately. I've repeatedly killed/restarted explorer.exe and also restarted DF, neither of which make a difference. The only thing that makes a difference is the titlebar buttons. :'(

Ok, strange! Could you send me a debug log for this?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
