This is on Windows 7 SP1 x64 and x86 Professional with DF V4.0.1. Beta 2.

The Handles have increased to 180,000+ and exiting DF does not work.

Yikes! Just confirmed the issue over here too. We'll get it fixed up and have Beta 3 out today hopefully :)

Ok, Beta 3 is available now. Could you give it a try and let me know how it goes?

Thanks!

I am not the original poster, but I hope my feedback is still useful. The beta 3 update fixed the resource leaks on my system (Windows 7 x64). After about 45 minutes of run time memory usage as well as the handle count appears to stay pretty much constant (roughly 15 MB of memory, and 700 open handles). Beta 2 on the other hand would have opened tens of thousands of handles by now.
