I had to upgrade to a newer nvidia driver and now regular windows do not maxi per monitor as before.

Nvidia 347.25
DF Pro 7.2.0 Beta 2

Auto split is set to yes. Taskbars are working correctly.

Let me guess i need to reinstall DF after upgrading nvidia drivers

You shouldn't have to re-install DisplayFusion. Could you check the Windows Task Manager to see if there are any processes called "nvsmartmaxapp" running?

No there is not. I know about the problem with those files so i already renamed them and the taskbars are working fine.
I went ahead and install beta 3 and no change. for Auto split but when I changed to 1x3 it worked. I know i tried both in beta 2 .

Just realized that in 1x3 the taskbars are not per monitor.

tks

Did some more testing and found the results to be inconsistent sometimes mon split works while multimon taskbars does not and vice versa. It is like the problem with nvsmartmaxapp.

Keith any ideas on why the upgrade to nvidia would break per monitor maximizing on regular programs and explorer.

Sorry, was just waiting until I had time to test this out here. I've updated my machine to the latest NVIDIA drivers, and the maximize locking seems to work fine for me. Can you check the Task Manager > Processes tab to see if the nvsmartmaxapp.exe processes are running?

Thanks!

Ok, would you be able to send over a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Try to maximize a window and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Looks like it's just the DebugInfo.html attached. Can you reproduce the issue again and attach the DisplayFusion.log file as well?

Aha! Could you try enabling the "Window Management" checkbox in the "Use these features with Split Monitors" section of the Monitor Configuration window? That should fix this up :)
