new registered user, loving DF!
I am sure this is a unique situation but here goes. i am running a script that does the following in an arcade machine (running windows 10) when a specific game is launched:
1. software that drives what is displayed on the second monitor is shut down.
2. DF disables all monitors except the primary
upon quitting the game, another script is launched that does the following:
1. DF enables my second display
2. script waits 3 seconds
3. program that drives second monitor is relaunched
The issue is that once everything is up and running again, random keystrokes are sent, anywhere from 1 to 6 random keystrokes.
I am also using a program called "JoyToKey" which maps keystrokes to a joystick. I bring this up because the random keystrokes being sent are all keys that I have bound to the joysticks. I thought it might be this joystick app causing the issue but i think it's DF is not playing nice with this app; these are the steps I have taken.
First off, I disable the joytokey program to test and the script runs perfectly
Next, i tried with joystick app running. in my script, i disable both the app that drives the display and DF. Again, the script runs fine.
Next, I run the joy app and the app that drives the display, disabling DF. everything runs fine.
Finally, i run the joy app and DF and I have the monitor driving app disabled. the random key presses start up again.
So it seems that joytokey and DF are having issues together. Also, i have tried a different keymapping piece of software and the same behavior is happening (xpadder is the app).
is there any log that i can post that can help the devs look into this issues?
thanks!
EDIT: never mind, please close this thread. i found the culprit. for some reason the steam client running in the background was causing my issue.
