I recently updated to 11.0.5 from 10.?.? stable version.

DF is silently aborting. No error messages.

If you need logs can you remind me how to find and send them to you.

If you head to C:\Users\(YourUser)\AppData\Local\CrashDumps, is there anything listed for DisplayFusion? If so, could you send over the latest file?

When it crashes, if you open Task Manager > Details, are there any DisplayFusion processes still running?

Owen,

I just noticed that DP does not start with windows. I checked the DF setting and the box is marked. I checked with taskmaster and DF is in the startup list.

This my be why there are no traces in taskmaster.

Do you have any anti-virus installed? Sometimes they block apps from auto starting

Did some more debugging with multiple restarts, also checked Norton AV.

DF does start with windows. DF process is visible in task manager. But no DF taskbar. No entry in the windows taskbar "hidden icons" list. Mouse pointer does not smoothly transition between monitors. Those are the primary functions that I now use, so a simple use of DF.

This started after the update to 11.0.5 (This was my first version 11)

I checked Norton AV and found no setting that would affect DF

In windows Start menu, i click on DF settings, it shows splash screen asking permission to allow the app. Then taskbar appears, df icon in hidden icons list, mouse transitions smoothly.

And the previous post and title of this string is in error. DF does not silently abort.

Any ideas??

So latest.
I start computer and logon.
Display fusion appears to launch(It shows in the taskmanager as DisplayFusionService. No taskbar, mouse movement across monitors does not behave correctly, etc.
I manually started DisplayFusion setting. UAC screen popped asking for approval. Clicked Yes. All my services started and setting showed up.
I loaded the debug log to the file which I have attached.

Again, this started with the installation of version 11.

You don't see the main DisplayFusion.exe running at start up, just the DisplayFusionService.exe?

Attached are screenshots from Task Manager. One shows DF processes after startup, the other after I start DF manually by clicking on DF.

Hope this helps

Yeah strange it looks like the main .exe isn't starting. Do you have any compatibility settings set on DisplayFusion? If it's set to run as administrator, Windows won't start it automatically on boot

That was the problem. I unchecked run as administrator, restarted Windows and DF 11 automatically started on boot for the first time. The only question is how did that get set in DF 11?

I think everything is running again, thanks
