This is on Windows 8 x64 Professional with DF V5.10.Beta 13.

Since updating from Beta 12 to Beta 13, the mouse pointer gets very slow and jerky during the 2-3 second period that DF is changing to a new wallpaper. I never noticed this on previous versions.

My wallpapers are stored locally on my Intel SSD drive which is the primary system (C:\) drive.

Hi Keith;

I've noticed the delay in B13 as well. It almost feels like the mouse "snags" on something in the few seconds around the wallpaper change. I've set mine to 10 minute intervals, and I notice it on every change.

Regards;

We did change some of the hooks in the recent betas, to build a foundation for some planned new features. It sounds like the mouse hooks are the issue for you. I'll be adding some more troubleshooting features into Beta 14 to try and track down these issues, sorry about that. :(

No problemo. That's what development and testing is all about. Looking forward to resolving the jerkiness.

Beta 14 dramatically improved this issue. Thus far, I'm pretty sure this is no longer a problem.

I would like to resurrect this issue. The jerkiness is pretty noticeable in DF V5.1. Perhaps DF can be optimized a bit more to reduce or eliminate the mouse jerkiness during wallpaper changes.

If you guys disable the options in the Settings > Window Management > Mouse Management section, then restart DisplayFusion, do you still have trouble with the mouse stuttering during wallpaper changes?

No, disabling these settings does not make any difference. I see no improvement.

Ok, we're going to make a change for the next beta, and I'll let you know when it's ready to test out.

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and the wallpaper CPU usage should be much better. There's also a new Advanced Setting called "Wallpaper: Use Internal Wallpaper Processing" that should help with the CPU usage a bit as well, and hopefully prevent the mouse stuttering.

Please let me know if not.

Thanks!

Beta 2 feels like it has fixed this mouse problem. Thus far I am not experiencing the jerky, bumpy behavior since installing Beta 2. I did activate the "Use Internal Wallpaper Processing" on installing Beta 2.

Thanks for your attention to this issue...really appreciate it.
