Hi,
I'm having some issues with the DF software and the Crossfire game (it's a 2009-year-old game). Whenever I launch the game, the DF's taskbar keeps closing and reopening rapidly on my secondary monitor, and I can't "alt+tab" unless I have to turn off the game and relaunch the software from Steam.
So, I have to temporarily turn off DF every time I launch my old-school game. Is there any possible way to make the software work correctly while playing the game?
Thanks!

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks for your reply. Here is the file.
It seems that the issue occurs between 1:15 and the end of 1:17; somehow, when I launch the game, it forces DF to shutdown without any permission.

Thanks for sending that over, do you have a vertical taskbar?

Well, I tried to set the horizontal taskbar on both monitors, or even horizontal on the secondary monitor and vertical on the primary monitor, but the software still crashed after opening the game. I assume that the game's anticheat tries to shutdown programs without any permission, even Steam is not an exception.

Ah yeah, anti-cheats usually don't like our hooks. If you add the app to the compatibility list in DisplayFusion and turn on "Disable Application hooks (this app only)" does that fix it up?

The method you gave me nearly worked. I had to disable nearly all functions to make the software work. Anyway, thanks for helping. Man, I love this software.
