I have a laptop with a 1280x800 res screen and two external monitors both 1920x1080. I have 3 separate folders containing wallpapers with resolutions 1280x800, 1920x1080, and 3840x1080 for all three situations.

My question is, can DF draw from a different image source folder depending on the situation of the displays? For example, it would only display wallpapers from the 3840x1080 folder if I plugged in both external monitors for a widescreen display, and switch to the 1280x800 folder when i unplugged both external monitors?

Also, if I were to unplug only ONE of the external monitors, would DF be able to switch from stretching a single 3840x1080 wallpaper across both external monitors to displaying a different wallpapers for the laptop and single external monitor screens?

Both of these situations are doable manually, but having this done automatically would be absolutely fantastic.

Basically, I am asking if DF can sense changes in the current display configuration, and adjust its wallpaper image sources accordingly.

DisplayFusion can't currently detect this, but the next version will have a feature called "Wallpaper Profiles". You will be able to create sets of configurations for whatever your needs are. This will fit perfectly with what you need to do. :)

The Wallpaper Profile option is great, but can this feature now be added as an automatic action?

We can't currently add it as an automatic feature but we'll make sure to review the option in the future.

Thanks!

Beta 10 (coming this week) has monitor configuration options. Beta 12 will have the ability to link a monitor profile to a wallpaper profile and automatically switch between the 2. Stay tuned! :)
