I'm experiencing some sound artefacts in Ableton Live caused by strange CPU load spikes when using my computer and got a tip that it could be my dedicated GPU that is causing it. So I wanted to try and connect my desk monitor to the integrated GPU instead and see if there is a difference.
However, I still want to be able to use the dedicated GPU for connection to my TV, where I do most of my gaming. So I was curious: if I were to create a profile in DisplayFusion where I would disable all screens of the dedicated GPU and only have the screen connected to the integrated GPU active, would that completely disable any interaction between the computer/CPU and the dedicated GPU? Or would it require me to either disable it in Task Mananger or physically disconnect it from the motherboard?
I'm not sure if it would disable all interactions completely, but it's worth a shot to try it and see if it works. If not, you'll likely need to disable it in Device Manager.
