Chrome has never displayed an icon at the top right corner (to move the window between different screens) unless I minimized the screen.
In the latest Chrome version they have now added a place holder to show the name of the person logged into the browser and as a result even when minimizing chrome the icon to switch between windows is now no longer available. I have to drag it between my two screens. This has not affected IE or Firefox just chrome.
My chrome version is 39.0.2171.99 m
Can you advise what to do?
Thanks

I'm using the Windows 7 Aero theme. Changing it to basic or others doest not change it for me at all.

Great news. One thing I did notice is if I use the compatibility settings the icon shows up and then disappears from the top.
I'll look forward to the next update. For now Chrome and only this app will be moved manually between windows.

Having this issue myself, windows 8.1, latest version of Chrome, seems when they added the new user management feature, it impacted the TitleBar button. Glad to see you guys are working on a fix.

I am now running Chrome Version 40.0.2214.93 m.
I noticed in Incognito mode the bar showed up and this prompted me to use the compatibility settings and move it Horizontally to -150 and hey presto it worked in both regular and the incognito mode.
All solved now.
Thanks

I installed the Beta and the title bar is back. One thing to note is that if you open too many tabs the option disappears. What I've done to avoid this is to pin the tabs I use each day (it makes them smaller) and I open and close tabs each day once I've finished with them.
All is good now. Thanks for your help Keith and team.

This is not a Chrome issue, but as we are talking about the Window movement icon I noticed that the icon is not visible if the underlying Window is using a dark theme. When you hover in the general area where the icon is then it will be visible but then disappears as you move the mouse away. Not a big deal but you might want to change the icon's background color based on the host's theme.

You can also remove the Avatar name to bring it back.
type in chrome://flags and disable the new avatar menu
Enable the new avatar menu Mac, Windows, Linux
Enables the new avatar menu. When combined with new-profile-management, it simply shows the new profile management avatar menu. Otherwise it shows a redesigned avatar menu with the same functionality as the old one, plus a tutorial card at the top prompting the user to try out the new profile management UI. #enable-new-avatar-menu
@Lajos: We can't really auto-detect the theme colour, but you can change the button colour in the Settings. On the Functions tab, just click the titlebar button and then click the little pencil icon to edit it, then choose one of the icons from the "Windows XP (Light)" set.

Fixed now. I hadn't installed 7.2 beta, Sun W. Kim's post solved it for me. I never switch Chrome profiles anyway, so I wanted to remove that menu.

It's been a while since this has been active but if anyone happens upon this in the future you can:
- Go to settings --> Functions
- Select your right-most item and add 4-5 separators
- Voila! The title bar items return to Chrome
