Jon,

Doubtless you've seen this, but in case not...

Firefox now has a tabs on top mode. Seems they took your caption bar buttons and ran with it. As you can guess, displaying your buttons is not compatible with their tabs on top mode.

My best suggestion for this is to provide an option to turn off displaying buttons for Firefox 4. You could generalize it to provide a user-configurable list to allow skipping arbitrary non-standard Windows applications that people might use, like Photoshop. Making it a checklist listbox control might be spiffy. (I've included an example from my code.) Suggestions, anyway. I sure you'll come up with a good solution (unless there's an option already there I missed).

Dang, you're good!

No sooner do I press the POST button than the new beta dialog arrives. Lo and behold, it includes a compatibility fix for tabs on top for Firefox 4 that is smart enough to know when the option is on or not. How'd you time that so right?

BTW, the change works perfectly.

I have been prepping Beta 3 over the last few days, and waited to release it until Firefox 4 final was released. I just wanted to make sure they didn't change any last minute details. Enjoy! :)

Now I can't figure out how to put my titlebar buttons back when FF4 is maximized.
It's easy to make FF work well with Display Fusion, you just have to right click the toolbar, hit customize, and drag some spaces onto the tab bar. How can I get my buttons back now?

The TitleBar Buttons will automatically hide if the tab are too far to the right. Can you send a screenshot of what your FF4 window looks like when the TitleBar Buttons aren't appearing?

Not completely following up on the same issue, but i've also noticed that the middle button press action that will move the windows to the other screen does not work in FF4. It still works on any other open window just not FF4.
Btw you can also set your tabs back in the original position by firefox -- option -- tabs on top.
After i do that though i cannot move the screen around anymore with the middle mouse button :(

I noticed it appeared when I opened a new window before I filled the tab bar with a bunch of empty tabs.

You can kinda see where I have the button set up to show on the window behind the active FF window.
I did do a compatibility override to set the button right there though. Is it internally still thinking it's in the spot Beta 2 put it by default, maybe?

Edit: Also, I apologize if I sounded a little rude when I first brought up my issue. It was just a bit frustrating, considering I had already gotten it working fine and all.

registered just to bump this. Firefox 4 middle-click to second monitor no longer works :(
If it helps, I noticed you can still middle-click if your mouse is on the edge of the window and your cursor changes to a double arrow.

But that is impossible if your firefox window is maximized.

The compatibility with FF4 is pretty awesome, Im quite please. :) And I have to say FF really is faster now. :) Anyhow, I too am noticing the middle click problem. But its not really a major deal for me. Will check back for solutions, thanks.

The Firefox 4 middle-click issue has been sort-of fixed for the upcoming Beta 7. You still can't middle-click in the titlebar, but you will be able to middle-click on the min/max/close buttons to move the FF4 windows. :)
