I leave my computer on all the time and i recently got display fusion through humble bundle. I was running the free version of 5.1 for a long time before the bundle deal. Now im running 8.1.1 and it constantly crashes.

I'm running Windows 7 with i5, 32gb ram, gtx 970.

Next time it happens i'll update with crash report.

The faulting dll appears to be a .NET Framework DLL. Could you try installing .NET 4.6.2 from this link?

Ok, could you send us a debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • The next time you notice DisplayFusion has crashed, send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (found in the C:\users\username\appdata\local\DisplayFusion, or just type %localappdata%\DisplayFusion into a Run prompt to open the folder directly)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Sorry for the delay! I noticed that you're running Deskscapes, which seems to be injecting a DLL into the DisplayFusion process. If you disable Deskscapes, does that make any difference at all?

deskscapes cant be the issue. i installed it thinking that the crashing was because of the desktop background switching was causing display fusion to crash. but even after installing deskscapes the crashes continue. i dont mind removing deskscapes but the crashing was happening prior to installing it.

Nah that's ok, I didn't realize you installed it after the crashing issues started.

In the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings, if you enable the "Disable Application Hooks" option and restart DisplayFusion, does that make any difference at all?

Still the same issue. Im thinking of doing a clean install, because ive suddenly been having issues with a lot of different programs. Will report back when i've done the reinstall and tested displayfusion again.
