Hey, i did some searches and couldn't find anything on this.

When i have DisplayFusion running Assassin's Creed 19 times out of 20 will crash during initial loading.
However if i exit DisplayFusion it will open 20 out of 20 times. While i know i can just disable display fusion while playing i wanted to mention it in case it can be fixed and in case it is indicative of a more severe problem.

I'm running windows 7 64 bit with the steam version of Assassin's creed with the most recent non beta version of DisplayFusion

Try making DF not to run as a high priority. and activate DF performance mode on the registry I have W7x86 at home and W7x64 at work and assassinĀ“s creed 1 never crash my x86 home PC and AC2 never crashed neither one. AC is a very cool game but AC2 is OMGF AWESOME beautiful game.

Thanks for any help and as i said i know i can just turn of display fusion to run this one app... but hey i thought i might as well double check :)

~Edit
(DF = Display Fusion - AC = Assassin's Creed)
Just discovered something else that may be useful. With this new beta version of the system i tried changing my log in screen look, this worked perfectly however it caused AC to not open EVEN when i had closed DF to run AC. When i restored the log in to its default and closed DF AC started working again

Movian: Can you try leaving DisplayFusion closed for a few days and see if you have any problems with your game? I find it very strange that having DF closed with the logon screen changed you still can't launch AC. :(

absolutely. I will leave it closed for a few days and play the game and will let you know if the problem occurs again.
