Windows 10 Pro 64-bit v1809. Display Fusion 9.3

Good afternoon,

I have the Display Fusion Taskbar set to 'All taskbars show relevant windows' and until yesterday it had worked perfectly. Yesterday I started having a look at Microsoft Edge and noticed that when I have it open on the 2nd monitor the icon appears on both taskbars; it's the only icon that does this.

Any suggestions?

Regards and thanks.

Any Universal apps (Edge, Calculator, Calendar, Mail, etc) will do this, they don't respect the API that we use for removing buttons from the Windows taskbar :(

It's on our list to fix, and if/when we are able to find a way to fix it, we will definitely post an update here.

Thanks!

Many thanks Keith. it's not a big deal for me though Microsoft's implementation of 'Apps' is a PITA. Thankfully the only ones I use are: Calculator, To-Do and now occasionally MS Edge.

I wish you and the team well in resolving this.

I recently went from a Windows 7 PC to Windows 10 PC at work and having the main taskbar show all open applications is negating the benefits I needed the most from using DisplayFusion. Has there been any progress towards fixing this?

For me the incorrect diplaying of the MS Edge icon on the DF taskbar became an irritation so I reverted to v9.4.3 where everything works as it should. The fact that MS Universal Apps display on both monitors is an irritation but is only applicable to MS Edge for me as it's the only UA I use regularly.

Can you try this new beta to see if it helps with the Edge icon issue?

Good evening Jon. On my Windows 10 (1903) system I can confirm that with DF 9.6 beta 1, the issue with the Display of the MS Edge icon on the DF taskbar is resolved.

Just to add that the issue that is corrected is that the Edge icon on the DF taskbar displays correctly as opposed to being white. UA Apps still appear on both taskbars.

Great work, outstanding product - many thanks.

I installed 9.6 (Beta 1) on Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.16299.0) and these apps are still showing on the main taskbar and the taskbar of the monitor they are on.

The fix that Jon was referring to was for the colouring of the Edge icon. The issue where Universal app icons don't get removed from the Windows taskbar is still open on our list.

Thanks!

Hi Wei,

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to implement a fix for this, but we do still have it on our list.

Thanks!
