Hello

Playing apex legends and from time to time it's happened that my window has been minimized. However when trying to maximize it, for some reason the window just minimizes itself. So I just end up back on the desktop. Any idea on how to solve this? I have to restart the game from steam if I want to go back into full screen.

Regards.

Hello,

Is this only happening when Display Fusion is running?

Thanks!

I am experiencing a similar issue with Conan Exiles.

I have done a clean install of Windows 10 build 2004, with the Nov 9 Nvidia drivers and Display Fusion. Conan would play the intro video, and as soon as it got to the main menu the client would minimize. Try as I might, I am unable to re-open it. Every attempt minimizes the window.

After updating to build 20H2, I am able to get a few minutes of gameplay in before it minimizes. After several attempts to restore the window I may or may not be successful.

I have another identical PC that is also a new build. (Exact same hardware) It does not have the issue. After going through possible differences I found that Display Fusion was the core difference. Turned off Display Fusion and voila, no more issues with the game client minimizing.

Display Fusion Pro 9.7
Windows 10 Pro 2009 (10.0.19042)

What is interesting is that before I re-installed Windows, Everything was on the same versions and I did not have the issue. However after a clean install I have the problem. I've been troubleshooting this issue for several days and only just figured it out by coming across this thread. Which was happenstance while I was looking for information on doing something entirely differently with DisplayFusion.

Just an update. I tried rolling back Nvidia driver versions to see if that might have had something to do with it. No change was presented.

Hello,

Can you open the compatibility tab in Display Fusion settings, add in the application, and check off "Disable Display Fusion Taskbars while this application is running" and see if the issue persists?

Thanks!

Managed to get it while the game was still full-screen and before it minimized. pretty much as soon as it gets to the main menu, it goes down. It was fine playing the intro videos. Also experiencing this with Elite Dangerous and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Hi Joseph,

Could you try heading back to those compatibility settings, and enable "Force Display Fusion to treat this as a full screen application", and see if the issue persists?

Thanks!

That seems to have done it. Played for a few hours without it minimizing.

Hi Joseph,

Glad to hear! If we enable that setting for your other games, are those working as well?

Thanks!
