Hello everyone! Here is a new beta build that takes care of a number of issues. All of the issues that have been reported in the previous build's topic have been fixed. I have also added a "Ignore hidden images" option for the random wallpaper image changer. The planned release date is still next Saturday, so any feedback you can provide before then is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jon,

Just dropped in and scooped up this BETA. The chunky font issue appears to be fixed!

Quote:
I am having an issue with Outlook 2007 on the DF Taskbar where the Outlook taskbar icon will flash orange and stay orange if I click another icon on the taskbar to minimize that program's window to the taskbar. Outlook's icon does not turn orange if I have the other program's window minimized already and I click its DF Taskbar Icon to RESTORE the window. Also, the Outlook taskbar icon does not turn orange if Outlook is ALREADY minimized and I start clicking the other programs taskbar icon to minimize and restore. Outlook is the only thing I've seen do this so far.

Ok, never mind all that... :) The icons flashing orange happens to multiple programs and folders, and it seems to happen depending on WHERE in the line of icons and WHAT minimization state in the line of taskbar icons it is and where in the line of icons that I minimize programs. The orange flashing effect extends to the actual Win7 taskbar icons when minimizing a program to the DF taskbar and that program is the only program on the DF taskbar OR if all the other programs on the DF taskbar are minimized, it jumps to flashing the first OPENED (non-minimized) program on the Win7 taskbar.

UPDATE AGAIN: The behaviour is like I described above BUT I was using a bunch of firefox browser windows plus Outlook and a few others to test with. The problem seems to only occur when I am minimizing Firefox windows! I'm running the latest stable Firefox 3.0.10. To be clear, it is when I am minimizing Firefox with the DF Taskbar icon by clicking on it. Everything works fine if I minimize Firefox by clicking its own window's minimize button. Can anybody else confirm this?

Hope that makes sense, again...

Regards
~jim

Well,

Quote:
Problem: Clicking on the window of any program in the secondary monitor causes it to appear on the main taskbar momentarily (1/2 seconds) yet its window remains in place. This only happens in the taskbar.

This is gone.

Quote:
When a window on the secondary monitor loses focus it has a slight delay to depress its task at the taskbar.

This is too.

So... what a horrible job so far. You took away all the bugs!!  Poor poor bugs... :(

3.0.5 beta - Issue First window in taskbar - No issues now

One other question. when I minimize a window from my non-primary monitor i get the animation of the window moving to the primary monitor as it minimized. Is there a setting where i can disable this? I just want the window to disapear from the monitor and have no animation.

Keep up the great work!!

Jeff

@jim: This is very strange. I'll see what I can find out, and I'll see if I can reproduce the error.

@rpsgc: Thanks for the confirmation! I squashed those bugs all over the bottom of my shoe. :)

@jpwillett: I am aware of the animation issue, but am not planning to address it for the 3.0.5 release. It is a tricky issue, and one that will require more investigation. I am planning to tackle this for the major 3.1 release. Thanks!

Hmmm, I may have found another bug, at least it is on my machine...

If I "middle mouse button click" on icons on the DF taskbar, the entire taskbar jumps to the main monitor about 2/3 down the screen. It doesn't happen everytime, but most times. A middle click on an icon when the DF taskbar is on the main monitor usually moves the DF taskbar back to the second monitor but not all the way to the bottom like it should. See attached screenshots.

FYI: In case it matters, I upgraded the same way as previously by closing DisplayFusion, and simply overwriting the files in the program folder with those from the zip file.

Regards,
~jim

@stephen: I always like hearing this. :)

@jshope: This will be fixed in the next beta (probably Monday or Tuesday release).
