Another day, yet another beta. There a small, but important changes in this build. Here's a quick rundown:

- Fixed some issues with the "Show Desktop" feature in Windows
- XP rendering tweaks to make it look a bit more native
- DF taskbar plays better with the Windows taskbar when the Windows taskbar is auto-hiding
- Applications can now minimize to the system tray without being added back to the Windows taskbar... (except Outlook which is a bit wonky for some reason)

Thanks, and any feedback is always appreciated!

Major issue on Windows 7. When program windows are moved from the secondary monitor to the primary monitor, they disappear off the secondary taskbar, but do not reappear on the Windows taskbar.

This happens on every program I've tried, with all combinations of program counts, and repros consistently.

This problem does not occur on the May 25 build.

@taoyue: How are you moving the windows? Manually dragging them, hotkeys, middle-mouse button... etc. I definitely tested in Windows 7 so it's very surprising to hear that. I'll investigate the issue further. :(

Happens no matter how the windows are moved. Windows shortcut (Winkey+Shift+Left), Displayfusion shortcut (Ctrl+Win+X), drag to new monitor.

Windows 7 x64 RC1, running dual monitors in portrait-mode (but repros in dual-landscape mode too).

Wow, that's certainly a pretty bad bug then. :) Can anyone else confirm this behaviour on their machine (with Windows 7 or any other version)?

I can confirm. It happens when I move an app from either the secondary or tertiary monitor to the primary. The task disappears from the DF taskbar, but nevers appears back on the main taskbar. This is on XP SP3.

Second, Excel still does not consistently appear on the correct taskbar. If I have multiple spreadsheets open on a secondary monitor, after minimizing and restoring a few times, at least one of the spreadsheets appears magically on the main taskbar as well.

Thanks SysWiz. Blasted Excel... that program has caused me nothing but problems. :(

I hate to poop on your parade, but the DF taskbar is still getting stuck behind apps. If I un-hide the main taskbar and then re-start DF, it works for a while. I don't know exactly whats make it stop working though...

@SysWiz: The next time this happens can you post your troubleshooting information? Right-click on the system tray icon to get into the Settings window though, don't right-click the DisplayFusion taskbar.

Confirmed bug where moving a window from DF taskbar back to Windows taskbar causes taskbar entry to disappear. Running Windows 7 RC with May 27 beta with Windows classic taskbar. May 24 beta doesn't exhibit the problem.

I can't believe I missed such a big issue. :( Sorry guys, I guess I rushed a bit too much to get the beta out last night. I'll fix it up and provide one that actually works for tomorrow. :)

I don't know if the new taskbar bug is a result from a fix for this, but I can confirm the dragging issue. "This" sould be some odd behavior, that I was never able to repro effectively, that made some widows on the DF taskbar dupe onto the windows one.

Here's another dump. I had my main taskbar set to not auto-hide the whole time...
