I updated to version 4.0 and now it force closes all the time. I see BEX64 error - which relates to Buffer Overflow error. Please let me know what I can do to figure out the problem. It was working fine in the previous version. Thanks,

Looking forward to a fix for this.
I am getting an message saying Displayfusion has stopped working and must close with no explanation. It has happened a few times now.

Could you guys give the newly released 4.0.1 Beta 2 a try from the link below? We've hopefully gotten these hanging/crashing issues fixed up now.

Thanks!

Installed the Beta 4.0.1 Beta 2 - looks like it's still force closing. Will try it a bit more. Thanks,

Just a quick update, there was another issue in 4.0.1 Beta 2, so we've just released 4.0.1 Beta 3 with that issue fixed as well. If you could try Beta 3 and let me know how it goes, that would be fantastic :)

Thanks!

Still force closing - actually quite frequently today after installing Beta 3. Thanks.

Just updating - I found that DisplayFusion was crashing but DisplayFusionAppHook was still lingering behind. I manually killed that and restarted DisaplyFusion. Looks to be stable for the last 45 minutes. Thanks.

Not sure if I am not using a feature that was causing the crash for chakras but I have had no problems so far with Beta3 :)
Good Work Thanks.

Yep - I think it was because after I installed I did not restart (I am always asked for a restart - but I will cancel it) - never caused a problem. Apparently the hook wasn't removed and App was using the old DisplayFusionHook? Maybe that is the reason it was crashing more often. After I killed that process and started DisplayFusion again, things looked a lot more stable. I didn't see a single crash :)

Not sure what the issue is - it is still crashing. It was good yesterday. Again, it is failing frequently today.

May have something to do with full screen application. I was not watching anything full screen today - and DisplayFusion only crashed once. FYIP. Thanks.

Ok, would you be able to do the following?
  • Enable debug logging on the Troubleshooting tab (set it to Logging: Detailed) and click Apply
  • After it crashes again, send me the %appdata%\DisplayFusion\DisplayFusion.log file (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
Thanks!

Just a first impression: Been running it for several hours now without any crash, so this means that either the problem is fixed or at least it happens much less frequently than before.

I had full screen applications running for more than 2 hours today without any problems. Also, I have the PC running for 5 hours now without noticing any DF crash. Looks like the issue is no more. Keeping my fingers crossed. That secondary monitor taskbar creates such a dependency that you feel crippled without it :(
