DisplayFusion 9.0 Beta 2 is now available for download! This release fixes an issue from Beta 1 where the taskbar would stay on top of full screen windows, and a couple of other minor issues.

DisplayFusion 9.0 Beta 2 Highlights

  • Taskbar no longer stays on top of full screen windows
  • Wallpaper now applies correctly when tiling very small images
  • Right-click on Slack and Discord tray icons now works correctly

Close, but no cigar. Fullscreen Chrome on one window hides the taskbar initially, but as soon as you click on something in another window it jumps right on top. Dang.

The automated installer didn't update properly. The installer would start the process then vanish, so I had to download the full installer from the website.

This happened twice.

More or less the same with me, the installer started then closed DF 9.1 and disappeared.

What antivirus are you guys running? We had this happen here as well with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. As soon as we disabled it, the installer ran correctly.

Malwarebytes looks like it's the culprit then as I am using it together with Windows Defender on Windows 10.

I also was unable to use the update installer and had to download the beta from the website.
Not sure what antivirus the computer is running. (work PC).

I also noticed the windows lock screen background is no-longer changing to match my current wallpaper.

Kaspersky Small Office Security on Win10. But on Win7 without antivirus, all the same.

Yep MalwareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware and Windows Defender here too. It maybe worth noting that I uninstalled my version of DF with Steam and when I re-installed it installed version 8.1, maybe needs updating?
Anyway all is well here and its good knowledge for future releases.

Thanks for the heads up and prompt reply Keith.

If you guys install the attached Beta 2 build, then try to update to the just-released Beta 3, does it work for you?
