We're very excited to announce that DisplayFusion 9.7.0 Beta 16 is now available for download! This version fixes a bunch of minor issues, as well as the Digital Blasphemy wallpaper source.

Important Notes!

  • The first time you open the Settings > Screen Saver tab after installing this version, it will be very slow to open, due to Windows Defender locking the .scr files for a long time during the initial scan.
  • If the auto-updater fails to run, please try disabling your anti-virus before running the updater.

  • Change: Added an Advanced Setting to restore the old Microsoft Teams taskbar button behaviour
  • Change: Added an Advanced Setting for changing the accent (underline) colour on the DisplayFusion taskbar
  • Fix: Desktop context menu entries for wallpaper now work
  • Fix: Scripting fixes for System.Drawing.Bitmap
  • Fix: Scripting fix for BFS.Dialog.InputListWithFilter
  • Fix: Code editor no longer crashes when stopping a looping script
  • Fix: Wallpaper gradient now shows correctly in the preview window
  • Fix: Fixed size windows no longer get distorted when moving to monitors with different scaling level
  • Fix: Window no longer held at edge when snapping is disabled after window was snapped
  • Fix: API update for Digital Blasphemy wallpaper source
  • Fix: Window Snapping no longer causes Firefox to maximize improperly
  • Fix: File Explorer now remembers its position after it's been moved by a DF function
  • Fix: Loading a Window Position Profile from the Settings window no longer causes it to stop working

Bitdefender reporting the following when installing this beta:

"The file C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion\is-JQ6E1.tmp is infected with Gen:Variant.Graftor.714995 ..."

Never had any issue with prior versions. I assume this is a false positive, just wanted to report it.

And another here. Bitdefender, same message as Beo6, except it's the DisplayFusionHookApp32.exe file.

There are 9 different security packages reporting this "False Positive" according to VirusTotal
ASUS home built Pc on Windows 10 x64 Pro with 3 Dell U2719D monitors. Dell XPS 8940SE on Windows 11x64 Pro with 2 Dell U2719D monitors.

On my system with three monitors, made one by nVidia Surround and split again with DisplayFusion into three, this beta has messed up the taskbar. The Windows tasbkar is spread across all three monitors with DF taskbars drawn overtop.
Previous DF releases worked normally. Reverting to DF 9.6.1 also solves the issue.

Similar problem here! With Beta 16 taskbar is messed up:

- One monitor, split in 2 areas
- Windows standard taskbar keeps disappearing (hidden in background)
- Disabling taskbar option in DP Beta 16 solves problem

No problems with Beta 15.

Can you provide Beta 15 download please?
Downgraded to latest 9.6 now, but would prefer to stay with beta version.

same as the other reports. when unhiding the central taskbar, it breifly opens at the correct width, then suddenly spreads across all 3 displays. The two displayfusion bars on the side displays function as normal.

Can recent beta versions ALL be made available for download somewhere? This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had a need to downgrade due to a new bug introduced but haven't been able to until someone gets around to posting a link (and there's too many issues fixed since to go back to the last stable).

Regarding the Bitdefender false positive, we're not getting any hits with our antivirus apps here, and we always check them before we post them. The "Variant.Graftor" looks to be a heuristic detection, so they must have something in their heuristics that doesn't like something we're doing with the hooks. We'll try reporting it as a false positive to them. If the Bitdefender client gives an easy way to report it, we'd be grateful if you all submitted it as well :)

Thanks!

I bought it through steam, how does that affect beta's?

You can run the betas with the Steam version as well. You can enable beta update checks on the DisplayFusion Settings > Options tab :)

Thanks!
