Quite a bit of chances with the new Windows 10 update and right away noticing some things not working correctly. That is, clicking the date/time on the secondary taskbar no longer produces the calendar popup (which does work on the primary taskbar).

Just wanted to address this as other features may be reported to not work with the update.

I'm finding that the start button on the secondary monitor causes the menu to be drawn first on the primary monitor, then flip to the correct place on the secondary monitor. The start button on the primary monitor works as expected.

@Daniel and crisdavid: If you guys haven't already, could you try the latest DisplayFusion beta?

@TeeBartie: This is expected on some systems, unfortunately. It's due to the fact that we can't hook the Start menu like we used to be able to in Windows 7, so we have to wait for it to open, then move it afterwards :(

OK, but it wasn't doing it (noticeably) prior to the update. Now, though (I suspect having used it on the secondary monitor, it's reverted to always appearing on that monitor irrespective of which start button I press as someone else found. I'll try the latest beta.

Nope, sorry, Start menu still opens only on the secondary monitor with DF Pro 8.0 Beta 10.

Ah yes, when I type it moves back to the primary window no matter which start button I initiate it with.

@TeeBartie: It looks like our "direct" method of opening the Start menu on the second monitor might have been broken by the Windows 10 1607 update, so DisplayFusion is falling back to the safer (but less awesome) "move" method. We'll be investigating this to see what we can do :)

The "Hide Windows Lock Screen" setting doesn't function in the Windows 10 Anniversary version (1607). Definitely not a show-stopper, just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Last month, we released DisplayFusion 8.0, and the Start menu issue should be all fixed up. If you still have any trouble with 8.0, please let us know!

Thanks!

Same Problem with the "Hide Windows Lock Screen" checkbox here. :(

Like Mike Warner said, no show-stopper, but it annoys me a bit, because I'm used to typing in my password blindly while my screens are black/firing up (they need a bit).

I checked the checkbox in the settings menu but the lock screen keeps showing up at login.
I always have to type sth in or click any mousebutton to make the lock screen vanish
and to be able to type in my password then.

What can be done here, or what can I do to help you guys? 8)

Does it do this when you lock the workstation (Win + L) or only when the system is rebooted?

Hi! Sorry for answering late...

No, Win + L works fine! But when logging in I have to click once before being able to type in the password... :(

Ah yep. Unfortunately that's not something we can fix at the moment. Windows resets the registry value that disables the lock screen every time it logs out. We tried to disable it using the DisplayFusion system service, but Windows still enables it again as soon as the lock screen loads on first boot :(

Sorry!

Aw that's a pity!
I hope you guys can fix that in the future! I'd be sooo happy!

Hi everyone,

sorry for burrying out this old thread.

Microsoft seems to have fixed the "lock screen" problem in its Windows 10 Creators Update.

There's no extra "Layer" anymore when trying to log (back) in.

Cheers! :D
