Here's the problem DF Beta 7.4 stopped changing the wallpaper on either of my monitors and has gone to black. When I try to go to settings I click on it but nothing happens. Settings will just not run. I am running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit with a Galaxy (Nvidia) 610 video card with 2Gbs.ram. All has been well and than the Wallpapers just stopped changing and went to just black back grounds.
It will just not let me run the settings.

If you roll back to 6.1.2, does the wallpaper then work correctly again?

Yes, I did a complete uninstall and a reinstall. The problem still persist. What ever the problem is it's carried over to the stable 6.12 version. I have used Display Fusion for many years now with no problems what so ever. The program is acting like the Windows program might be interfering for some reason. I just checked that part out and DF is running and working just will not let me into the settings so I can do some configuring of the wallpaper and screensavers. So any help would be great.

Thank you

Frank

Ok, when you launch DisplayFusion, does it show up on the Processes tab in Task Manager and then briefly disappear? If so, it sounds like a .NET Framework issue. There are a few things you can do to try to repair the .NET Framework:
  • Run the following at a command prompt: sfc /scannow
  • Check for Windows Updates, and install any .NET Framework updates available
  • Remove and re-add the .NET Framework in Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off

Keith

First let me say thanks for your help so far. I have tried every thing you suggested with no results. This just started about four days ago. I had to replace my system hard drive because of failure. So every thing is of clean installs. So far this has been the only problem. I have tried uninstalling ans reinstalling to no avail. I even removed any references in the registry. Still nothing. I am at and end as to what to try next. And you know how windows handles duel monitors. So at this point any help would be great.

Thank you

Frank

Ok, could you try extracting the attached zip file to the C:\Program Files (x86)\DisplayFusion folder, overwriting the existing files? You may need to extract them to a temporary location, and then move them in, if you have UAC enabled.
