A quick warning: This is an advanced topic. If you are uncomfortable with any of these instructions please don't do this. :)

If you find that DisplayFusion has locked up and and you can't exit, then this topic is the right place for you. Before you end the task, I would like you to follow these instructions:

Once those 2 files have been created you're all done. You can end the task in Task Manager. After this, just send me these 2 files so I can try to track down the issue.

Thank you for your help!

Jon, is this only for when DF has locked up? Not for when the buttons go wacky?

@benway: That's correct - use this only when DisplayFusion has completely locked up. I'm working on the "wacky buttons" problem this week. :) It is a separate issue then the locking issue, but hopefully I'll be able to fix both.

Jon,

Just a small point (and maybe there are no affected users) but users of 64bit systems will need to change the script to read:

[tt]"C:\Program Files\Debugging Tools for Windows (x64)\cdb.exe"[/tt]

instead of

[tt]"C:\Program Files\Debugging Tools for Windows (x86)\cdb.exe"[/tt]

Excellent point - thanks John. I have posted modified versions of the .bat files.

I am having this problem (Display Fusion locks up) and I've got the debugger installed, and I've run the batch command...how do I send you the files? Should I just attach them to a forum post?

I am going to un-sticky this topic, as I'm hoping the deadlocking issues have been resolved with version 3.0.5. If the problems persist I'll sticky it again for everyone to see. :)
